J-Bridge: Co-creation and open innovation with Japanese companies

REGISTRATION

J-Bridge is a platform facilitated by JETRO, Japan External Trade Organization. It aims to facilitate the collaboration between Japanese companies and European startups to develop new business in the digital and green fields.

There are more than 1000 Japanese companies registered to the platform. The model of collaboration can be technical cooperation, joint R&D, investment or JV.

In the webinar JETRO representatives introduce the platform and how Finnish startups can register and be connected with Japanese J-Bridge member companies, how startups can benefit, give examples of success stories and services related to establishing a business in Japan.

Following this, Mitsubishi Corporation representative gives a reverse pitch on what types of startups and cooperation they are looking for.

The event is hybrid, you can participate either on-site or online. The webinar is about one hour between 15.30 – 16.30, after that on-site participants can stay for Friday pizza and networking.

Energy Solutions for People – Turku RESPONSE hackathon 2023

Are you the winner? Bring your best ideas for engaging people in energy issues.

Turku University of Applied Sciences and City of Turku will organize a hackathon, which includes a two-day event. During the event a maximum of 4 proposals will be awarded with prizes after public feedback and a jury decision.

The hackathon's grand prize is 10 000 €.

We are searching for digital solutions, which would get people thinking about energy issues and monitoring the impact of their behavior.

The solution can use for example gamification, social media, AR, VR, or MR technologies, 3D models or 360 images.

Most importantly, the new solution should encourage residents to monitor and pay attention to their energy consumption, help change consumption habits, demonstrate and visualize the impact of different actions, and engage and activate individual and collective action.

The hackathon will be held in English and Finnish, and the solutions can be delivered in either of these languages.
